Import User Accounts

Create Users

Import your CSV file to create new user accounts. Your CSV files can be in any format – map your columns to appropriate user account fields. Module can automatically generate Display Name, Username, and Password based on predefined data rules. Optionally, force the user to change their password on next login.

Create & Update Users

Live Utilities allows you to import your master CSV file – it will automatically create new users and update existing users with new data.

Update Users

Use this option to bulk update existing users. Upload your CSV file and map the columns you want to update – existing users are matched based on their username.

Delete Users (Soft Delete)

Use this option to bulk delete user accounts. Simply upload your CSV file and the module will delete all matching users. Very handy option to delete orphan accounts – use our export feature to export inactive accounts. Note: soft delete functionality may not be available in all DNN versions. Soft delete allows you to restore a user account in future.  

Delete Users (Hard Delete)

Use this option to bulk delete user accounts. Simply upload your CSV file and the module will delete all matching users. Very handy option to delete orphan accounts – use our export feature to export inactive accounts. Note: Hard delete functionality may not be available in all DNN versions. Hard delete permanently deletes a user account. 

Large Dataset Tested

Live Utilities has been tested to successfully import more than 250,000 users in a single job. Import / Export jobs are executed in the background using DNN Scheduler and will automatically resume in case of a server restart or other unexpected error.

Import Securities Roles

Create Security Roles

Import your CSV file to create new security roles. Roles can be assigned to groups - module will automatically create the groups if they do not already exist.

Remove Security Roles

Use this option to bulk remove security roles. Simply upload your CSV file and the module will remove all matching security roles. Note: Module does not remove any role groups

Exports

User Accounts

Exports user accounts along with profile properties, password if available, auditing informatino such as last activity date and ip address along with security roles. Ability to filter export based on user create date, last activity date, and security roles.

Security Roles

Exports all security roles including their role group information.

Impersonation

It allows you to quickly become any user on the site. Simply search for another user using the core DNN “User Accounts” module and then click on the impersonate icon. You will be immediately logged in and impersonated as the user – no need to reset or request password. This is a great option for troubleshooting user based scenarios, authoring content as someone else or temporarily reviewing / administrating the site as someone else.
