Referral Program FAQ

1. What if I am only using the referral code on my website and nowhere else?

If you are only using one marketing channel, you can choose one of the five referral codes generated to place on your website.

2. What if I add marketing channels later on?

If you add marketing channels later on, you can come back to the The Store Referral Page and use the additional referral codes.

3. How many referral codes can I get?

There is a maximum of 5 referral codes per Referral Program Member. This will help your reporting be easier to understand and to determine where your best customers are coming from.

4. Why is there an approval period?

We are manually approving each member of the Referral Program in order to provide the highest customer service to each member. The approval time will be within 24 hours unless your signup is received on a weekend or US holiday. If it is received on a weekend or US holiday, the approval time will be within 72 hours.

5. When do I get paid?

The 10% referral commission is based on a one month total of sales generated through your referral links. Payments for the referral commission will be paid out one month after the ending payment period. For example, I accumulated a referral commission of $100 in August. I will be paid the $100, minus any refunds, in the first week of October.

6. How does the referral code work?

The referral code attaches to a link that is directs customers back to The Store. If they make a purchase during the visit from your referral link, you receive 10% commission.

7. I sell products on The Store, do I only get the 10% commission for the products I sell? Does it affect my product commission?

Whether you sell products on The Store or not, you will receive 10% referral commission on all products purchased by the customer during the visit from your referral link. This means if they purchase your product as well as a product not sold by you, you will receive a 10% referral commission on the entire order. The referral commission is paid out separately from your product commission and do not influence each other.

8. Where can I find banners and other assets to use on my site to send customers to The Store with my referral code?

Banners for the Store can be located in the Media section of the site. We will be adding new assets over time so be sure to check back for the newest assets.

9. How will I be notified if someone makes a purchase?

If you refer a customer to The Store that makes a purchase after clicking your referral link, you will be notified by email and also in your Referral Program Member Section. This section will have all of the orders that you will be receiving a referral commission for. It will also show if any refunds were processed within the last 30 days and deduct those refunds from your final referral commission total for the month.

10. Can I carry my balance over from one month to the next?

The referral commission resets to $0 at the 1st of each month. Your commission will be paid out each month you generate a referral commission.

11. Why do you need my Tax ID number or Social Security Number?

If you are in the United States or a United States Citizen paying US taxes, we will need to generate a tax form at the end of the year for you to report on your taxes. Any Referral Program Member that is paid over $600 in referral commissions will receive a tax form at the end of the year.

12. What types of sites are allowed to join the The Store Referral Program?

Websites that contain the following will not be accepted into our Referral Program: (a) promote or contain sexually explicit materials; (b) promote violence or contain violent materials; (c) promote or contain libelous or defamatory materials; (d) promote discrimination, or employ discriminatory practices, based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age; (e) promote or undertake illegal activities; (f) otherwise violate intellectual property rights.

If we reject your application, you are welcome to reapply at any time. However, if we accept your application and we later determine that your site is unsuitable, we may terminate this Referral Program Agreement.

13. Where can I find the Referral Program Agreement?

14. How do I add my referral code for an individual product page?

To add a referral code to an individual product page, include your referral code after the URL for the page. Examples:
