My experience with Xile SHOULD have been a disaster. That it was NOT was a credit to the product and to Patrick! To begin with, I downloaded the older version. Within a few minutes after the initial download I got an email from Patrick wherein he advised he saw I had the earlier version and a couple of emails later we had the situation straightened out and I was working with a current copy. Thanks, Patrick! The project where I have first used Xile had been going downhill with last minute changes for two weeks. By the time I got to the portion where file uploads would be required, it was the wee hours of the morning with a 0900 "drop dead" deadline. I just knew that something was going to blow up and was approaching panic. Implementing Xile (with, honestly, a cursory review of the docs and a quick look at the examples) worked perfectly. A couple of typo corrections later, I had smooth uploads and my panic meter had ratcheted WAY back. I am looking forward to implementing Xile in a situation where I can play with some of the more advanced functionality and push it a bit harder, but I am confident based on my experience so far that I will find solid code and outstanding support as I explore and deploy.
