This is by far the best form module available and if you combine it with ActionGrid and MyToken it is the best RAD system available on DNN.
Try it, you will love it.
How can you live without this module. Once you start using it you will never be without it.
Every module I use either supports MyTokens or I pay the vendor to integrate with MyTokens.
DNNSharp also provides the best support of any company in the DNN community. They are fantastic
This is a very disappointing module.
I purchased an enterprise licence thinking that I could install it on any number of sites. I was wrong.
1. Each time you install the module you need to apply for a new licence.
2. The licences are only issues for 12 months. Then, if you want to install the module version you purchased… you have to buy a new enterprise licence.
This is non-existent. I called and emailed them about the licence issues and problems I was having with my module and have to date received no feedback what so ever.
If I were you, I would give mandeeps a wide berth. You are far better off dealing with a company such as DNNSharp who has a solid commitment to support.
This is a great module. Their support has been outstanding and the module works perfectly. We are using it for a large client that imports thousands of new users every month and it has never let us down.
I highly recommend it.
No better company on the DNN store. All their modules are essential for building applications with DNN and their support is amazing.
Tan is amazing - brilliant support and a great module. It now supports MyTokens allowing you to build logic into when it pops up.
When I first looked at SharpLook the cost took me aback. It seemed a great deal of money for what I considered a replacement for a site skin. The thing is, that’s not what SharpLook is. What SharpLook offers is speed.
Learning curve – we were up and running fast!
This is a fairly simple module to work with and in my opinion it removes a great deal of the complexity from DNN. Within a day our team was able to replicate a very complex site using SharpLook.
Getting your site to look and function the way you want it to takes a fraction of the time. There is no waiting for developers to tweak skins - adding content to pages and arranging it as you like is quick and painless. Moving and adding panes is simple. In a world where time is money, SharpLook adds a great deal to the bottom line.
This is a game changer in terms of load speed. For the longest time the DNN forums have been alive with complaints about how sluggish DNN is. We live with this because of the power DNN offers but no-one is happy! No more! SharpLook loads pages fast. Some of our pages are loading 6 times faster. On a server where there are many sites this has a big knock on effect. I have not tried SharpLook with a multi-portal site but I have a feeling it is going to have a big impact here. It is hard to fathom running DNN without SharpLook once you see just how fast your site runs.
I am not sure how Bogdan has achieved this but the sites using SharpLook have a very low impact on the server. A site that was using 500 MB of RAM is now using only 90 MB. This means that we could run 5 times as many sites without increasing our RAM. We are using PowerDNN for hosting. They are fantastic and I highly recommend them but they are certainly not the cheapest option. We were considering taking a second server to cope with the current loads. Running more sites on less RAM eliminates the need for a new server and in that one issue we cover the cost of SharpLook 10 times over.
Yes, on the surface it seems like a lot of money but consider the following - if you had to build this module, how much would it cost you? If you save 50% on development time at your current hourly rate, what would that be worth? If you are able to run a larger number of faster sites on a single server what would you save? If your clients stop complaining about how slow their sites run what is that worth in terms of your reputation? I did the math and purchased the Server Licence. In my opinion it’s a no-brainer!
DNNSharp released their new scheduler. This is something I have been “seriously” needing and was hugely excited when it came online.
First let me tell you some of the problems we have been dealing with.
We have developed a MLM management system using DNN. A huge part of our system sits in Sprocs that depend on scheduled execution.
1. We have been using SQL Server Agent and it is not reliable. It stops running for no apparent reason and you don’t find out until you look. If this is what you are using to run your SQL jobs it can be really frustrating.
2. A number of the DNN module processes run on schedules that don’t fit our requirements.
3. We have a number of SSIS packages that need to be triggered
4. The DNN scheduler requires coding to get it to do anything
5. It integrated with nothing
So what are we doing with this cool module?
1. We have a pile of Stored Procedures that do stuff on the DB. We are now using the DNNSharp scheduler and it just works!
2. Using PowerShell scripts we are running SSIS package that import data from csv files, update statuses and assign roles according to db rules.
3. We have updated a number of our DNN schedules to run in more desirable schedules
4. DNNSharp Schedule works with MyTokens (If you have not done so already take a look at MyTokens. It will blow your @#$% mind!)
It is rock solid and it is so easy to use.
It integrated with MyTokens
Bogdan’s service is unequaled… UNEQUALED!
For experience, I know this is just the start of what DNNSharp will offer with this module. I give this module 10 Stars and that is conservative.
I built my first application with DNM and I have three things to say:
1. It was fast an easy.
2. I got a quote of $1500 to building this application. I decided to do it myself using DNM. It took me two days and that included having to learning the DNM system from scratch. This saving alone is worth every cent!
3. I am looking forward to your next release. The stuff you mention in your blog will make a masive difference to my business, I cant wait!!
So, IndooGrid is out and I am now a firm DNM fan!
Well done guys
OK, so this is a very good module but boy does the support suck! We upgraded to DNN6, the module fell over and there is zero response to my query with Indoolab.
If you are planning to move onto DNN6 I recommend you stay away from this module.
This is the best blog on DNN backed by the best support team that I have ever come across!
The blog is extremely powerful and easy to use. I have tried 4 or 5 other DNN blog modules over the years, but none come close to SunBlogNuke. I am extremely happy with the product.
But there is one thing that is better then this module, and that is the support that comes with it. I needed to get this blog to integrate with other modules and perform a number of custom tasks. Whenever I logged a support query, I received a response within a matter of hours.
On one occasion, The module had a bug that I was unable to fix. It was 2 hours before my site was to go live with an announcement to 20 000 people. I sent in a slightly desperate support ticket and within 5 minutes SunBlogNuke's support staff contacted me via Skype and resolved the issue then and there.
The only reason I am giving them a 5 star rating is because there is no 6 star option. If you are looking for a world class blog m
I first tried to get some answers from Bogdan before purchasing. His responses where so quick and helpful that I had no option but to purchase the enterprise version of MyTokens. Wouldn't it be great if all DNN module developers worked like Bogdan.
Great suppor Bogdan and I look forward to working with your module.
This could be a very good module except for the fact that when you hover over the clock face, you get this really ugly advert with a link back. I have to say, this sucks!
If you are giving the code away then fine! If I am paying for the module then lose the adverts please.
This is not a bad products but if something goes wrong, you will have a great deal of trouble trying to contact them.
I have sent multiple emails without joy and I purchased the enterprise version. All in all this has been my most frustrating experiences with a DNN module. If you are looking for service then this is not the company to work with.
I purchased DNN SEO Central (Enterprise). The system is supposed to come with phone in help and I should be able to get additional licenses for other sites I manage.
I have tried and tried to contact the company for licenses and help to no avail. I have purchase numerous modules on Snowcovered and this is the first time I have received this lack of help.
If you are thinking of buying this module I would seriously try and contact the company first and get their telephone numbers. That way you may (and I stress may) be able to get the module working.
